Dogs love looking out the windows as they wait for people to reach the front door.  Elsa: all motionless (and oh so proper) happiness.  Julie:  always in motion, good luck petting the rocket!

Brunch

Because food should not only taste wonderful, it should look wonderful as well.  BTW, totally a healthy and tasty treat.  Unflavored yogurt, lots of fruit, and some granola.

Old Home Supply

The Old Home Supply Warehouse in Ft Worth.  When old homes are being renovated or torn down these guys come in and strip all of the cool vintage-y stuff and sell it to the rest of us. :)  Kindly, being the vintage-y kind of people they are, they chose not to cover up the old Piggly Wiggly markings on their store front.

Lines

In lieu of taking any interesting new pictures, I'm picking through the droves of pictures that I've taken that needed a little bit of post processing (more than just adding a watermark or cropping).

Edited longhorns

Was way too dark for taking this picture handheld.  Managed one shot that wasn't burry.  Had to alter the light a fair bit.  Not the most artistic adjustment, but I'm just thrilled that you can tell what I was trying to take a picture of now. ;)

After 24 hours of rain the last live-ish looking twig on our fig tree looks like there may be some life yet.

1890 Portrait

Remember those really old pictures where all of the people are sitting there super rigid with very carefully posed correlations?  WELL, I wasn't really aiming for that.  I was just trying to get a current picture of the dogs.  All they need is a bonnet and top hat and I'd have my 1890's portrait.

Colors

I've noticed that since I started fiddling around with a camera, I see colors very differently.

'Cause I can

I know, I know, I just posted a picture of these 'weeds' less than 24 hours ago.  There is something very peaceful to me about these pictures.  Maybe it's just lingering effects of the calm and quiet of being by the waterfront for a few minutes.
